Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is PREFERRED at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Technical Training Specialist. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Specific Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and coordinate training programs for personnel, Navy Strategic Systems (SSP), and Air Force Nuclear Weapons Security (NWS) customers. Analyze technical data from engineers and engineering drawings and reports to develop quality and engaging training content. Develop and maintain lesson plans and training material content covering description, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting data of SSBN, SSGN, and NWS courses. Develop training material and support technical storyboard reviews in a blended training environment. Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years with Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional work experience and systems knowledge of SSBN/SSGN ship program including prior SSBN/SSGN Instructor Training experience.
Ability to travel 10% to 20% throughout the year.
Applicant must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance and a DOD Common Access Card (CAC).
Due to the nature of work performed in our facility, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Able to interact with and develop a positive relationship with customer and other contractors
Microsoft Office Suite
Able to adapt and deliver creative solutions based on customer needs
Able to generate training content from technical documents and drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
Navy Master Training Specialist (MTS)
Prior SSBN Fire Control or Launcher Training experience desirable.
Prior SSGN Training experience desirable.
Prior NWS experience desirable
Knowledge of storyboarding to support training curricula development
Experience in developing blended learning curriculum
Self-starter and highly motivated individual
