ConAgra Brands is seeking a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician for the Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin, LCC plant located in Milwaukee, WI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for facility maintenance and supporting electrical and mechanical systems. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing food safety and food quality, as well as environmental safety in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications: machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and high speed manufacturing equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments.
Makes basic facilities maintenance repairs and oversees or assists in that process if outsourced.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
Provides routine inspections and monitoring of most equipment.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Supports and follows standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF 2000 as well as the regulations of major vendors and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA.
Records and documents procedures, assuring that all processes are up to date and accurate.
Performs data entry into Computer Maintenance Management System.
Prepares unscheduled work orders to support production requirements.
Keeps work environment clean, safe and positive.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma
Requires a minimum of 3-6 years of plant maintenance work experience including product packaging
Requires basic knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical equipment, conveyors and production or facilities related equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and make repairs
Requires the development of a clear understanding of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF 2000 and environmental safety regulations along with a commitment to continuous improvement
Requires the ability to communicate in English fluently for the effective and clear written and oral communication with others
Requires teamwork ability and a positive attitude
Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Requires basic computer skills and data entry skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as: Word, Excel and Outlook
Requires a valid WI driver license in good standing for local travel

The employee works in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions and in a production environment with temperatures ranging between 40 to 70 degrees. Additionally, the incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts and in high places. He/she will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is moderate noise in the work environment.
