Raytheon IIS is seeking a skilled technical lab manager to organize, manage, and coordinate requirements for several medium size network staging labs. The lab manager will work with leadership, vendors, network engineers, and installers to design, build, test, and deploy information systems. While the lab manager will not serve as a primary installer, the role requires willingness and ability to assist with installation and configuration of information systems. Typical supported hardware includes servers, routers, switches, ASAs, computers, racks, UPS, and cabling.
The lab manager will serve as the key liaison for the labs; participating in planning meetings to assist in requirements definition, leveraging resources to rapidly configure lab areas to support staging from one to twenty racks, and working with teams to schedule delivery and buildout. The lab manager will work to schedule and de-conflict requirements while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Occasional travel to OCONUS field installation sites may be required (0-10%).
Required Knowledge and Skills:
•TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (full Poly highly preferred)
• Experience leading small technical teams performing system integration
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience installing, managing, and administering networks
•Experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, and ASAs with Cisco IOS Proficient with virtualization platforms and technologies (VMware)
•Experience drafting system test plans, network diagrams, and server room layouts
•Excellent written and verbal communications, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills
•Able to lift and carry test equipment, network and computer devices up to 40 lbs.
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
•Knowledgeable in cellular protocols including GSM, GPRS, UMTS/HSPA, LTE, CDMA, TDMA
•Understanding of switching systems, cabling, PBX, fiber optics, VOIP, analog/digital telephone systems, and TCP/IP protocols
•Understanding of mobility core network engineering and mobile device management
•Experience in telco infrastructure and theory
•Familiar with lawful intercept systems
Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar field of study; plus two years related work experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of degree.
