Provide technical support for the following equipment: Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and .

 

 

 

1. Performs highly complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment.

 

2. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.

 

3. Directs complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work.

 

4. Diagnoses and isolates equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures, and makes necessary repairs.

 

5. Participates in the development of electronic equipment.

 

6. Repairs or modifies cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories.

 

7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

 

8. May serve as a team leader.

 

9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

 

10. Participates in special projects as required.

 

 

Qualifications:

Technician shall demonstrate at least six (6) years’ experience in installation, testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation and repair of combat or C4I systems and equipment including a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in troubleshooting and repair of the following equipment (in descending order of importance). Experience may be concurrent:

IFF Systems:

  1. AN/UPX-29
  2. AN/UPX-36
  3. AN/UPX-37
  4. AN/UPX-41
  5. AN/APX-100 / 118 / 123
  6. OE-120 Antenna System
  7. TACAN Systems:
  8. AN/URN-25 (TACAN)
  9. AN/URN-32 (TACAN)
  10. RADDS Systems:
  11. RADAR Display & Distribution System (RADDS) AN/SPQ-14 / 15
  12. AN/SPA-25G/H
  13. Search Radars:
  14. AN/SPS-67(V) Series Radar
  15. AN/SPS-73(V) Series Radar
  16. Bridge Master E (BME)


While not required, attainment of special electronic repair skills / certifications such as basic soldering, wire-wrap, connectorization, fiber optics etc may be more advantageous to the government and should be so annotated in the resume(s).

Education:
