Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of local recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

Key Accountabilities

  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Administrative duties and record keeping.
  • Work with hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings.
  • Assist in creating job descriptions
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
  • Conduct regular follow up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive recruiting.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
  • Communicate with Managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
  • Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
  • Conduct Pre-screening interviews
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting employee’s on site.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Detail-oriented and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to handle a dynamic work environment within defined deadlines. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work with consistent follow-through. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
  • Motivated; a “self-starter”; able to work independently. 

Required Experience and Education

  • 2 -5 years’ experience in corporate based recruiting
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Exceptional track record and proven success in a competitor's environment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in direct sourcing, screening, recruiting for Oil and Gas sector
  • Proficient computer skills are required including use of Microsoft
  • High-volume recruiting preferred 
  • Prior experience working in SAP SuccessFactors ATS preferred 

 

Required Travel:  10% - 25%
