Researches, prepares and edits training documents and educational programs for customer personnel. Designs and develops instructional approaches and interactive courseware to meet training requirements.

  1. Designs and develops instructional approaches and/or strategies to meet training requirements.
  2. Develops appropriate training objectives and test methods and designs instructionally valid training materials.
  3. Conducts analysis of training requirements and media requirements.
  4. Establishes and reviews course content and objectives.
  5. Develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  6. Ensures training documents meet editorial and customer specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style.
  7. Designs and develops computer based training, web-based training, electronic performance support systems and other technology-based learning solutions.  Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media.
  8. Updates course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance.
  9. Maintains records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
  10. Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content.
  11. Participates in the creation presentation materials.
  12. Participates in the design and development training materials and other documentation as requested.
  13. Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies.
  14. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  15. Participates in special projects as required.


  • 2-5 years of related experience preparing and editing technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing and editing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development of training programs
  • Knowledge of and ability to uses various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications.
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technologies as required.
  • Experience with student financial aid programs/web site support required
