  1. Researches, prepares and edits technical documents for publication, including user’s manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.


  1. Reviews, researches, and edits information for preparation of contract deliverables.


  1. Ensures documents meet editorial and customer specifications and adhere to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style.


  1. Tracks and manages contract compliance of deliverable documents.


  1. Interfaces with customer representatives, management staff, and technical subject matter experts in coordinating/preparing/editing documentation for publication.


  1. Supports Project Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, Technical Support, and Technical Training efforts.


  1. Participates in the creation of proposals, contract compliance documents, and presentation materials.


  1. Participates in the design and development of program briefings, brochures, manuals, and other materials when requested.


  1. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.


  1. Participates in special projects as required.


  1. Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing and editing.

  2. Knowledge of and ability to uses various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications.

  3. Knowledge of the organization’s products and services, customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user’s level of understanding.

  4. Effective communications skills.

  5. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a Secret Clearance.

  6. This position may be required to complete short-term deployments to austere locations worldwide.



The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
