Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Senior SharePoint System Administrator will configure, monitor, and manage SharePoint Server 2013 and 2016 farms. Participate in a system administration team providing 24/7 coverage of the SharePoint Farms. Provide support in enhancing the SharePoint server infrastructure's operation and performance. Keep abreast of new technology developments and make recommendations regarding changes to current standards and solutions as appropriate. Participate and ensure all activities supporting DoD cyber-related documentation, testing, and configuration are completed within scheduled timeframe.  Support and coordinate activities with DISA and the team to identify, fix and provide information regarding resolution of vulnerabilities and incidents.

Demonstrate SharePoint subject matter expertise including:

  • Well-developed knowledge of SharePoint solution architecture using SharePoint and related technologies
  • Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server - operation, tuning, backup, SSRS, and recovery within a SharePoint 2013 or 2016 environment
  • Experience installing and supporting SharePoint 3rd Party Tools including Nintex Workflows
  • Establishing trusted connections and shared services between farms
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting SharePoint search technologies
  • Creating and executing server scripts via PowerShell
  • Monitoring and managing the patching level of servers in the farm
  • Hands on experience with IIS/Web Server and Windows Server including high availability and performance optimization
  • Experience with storage analysis, feature compatibility, farm capacity planning, scalability and auditing
  • Experience with storage, network and server technologies related to SharePoint
  • Server configuration related to STIGs
  • An understanding on how to use SharePoint ULS logging and Correlation ID's to look up error logs 

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS Degree in IT, engineering, or related field desired but not required
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • DoD IAT Level II Certification  (Security + CE)
  • At least one Microsoft Computing Environment Certification (MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, MCSA, or MCSE) is required

TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • SharePoint 2013 or 2016 server and infrastructure
  • Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and Windows Server 2012 or above
  • RMF/NIST/STIG knowledge
  • PowerShell scripting
