Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Due to the nature of work performed at our facilities, US citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Citrix Netscaler Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
A key contributor supporting the GDMS network environment such as routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, wireless, intrusion prevention devices, etc.
Implements/Supports/Monitors/Troubleshoots network issues being physical or virtual network infrastructure components and coordinates with team members and/or vendors
Responsible for the architecture, implementation and support of a Citrix Netscaler environment including thin clients & smartcards.
Deployment of GSLB, including parent/child configurations for multiple datacenters
Take full ownership to work with various teams to resolve any production related incidents.
Be actively involved in the planning & implementation of new projects.
Maintain System high reliability,availability and resiliency levels.
Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level Support for the production and test environments
Proactive System performance monitoring and capacity management
Research and perform Netscaler system upgrades and mandatory security/OS patching.
Provide 24*7 On call support based on rotation within the team
Strictly abide and follow the company policy and procedures pertaining to change and incident management.
Responsible for ensuring that all systems are deployed consistent with group standards and best practices.
Manage Business Continuity in relation to Disaster Recovery.
Maintain an accurate and current hardware inventory


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrable expert level experience in Citrix NetScaler administration with certification or equivalent practical skills
Strong knowledge of Citrix Xendesktop 7.X architecture and components
Strong knowledge of Citrix Netscaler 11.X and above technology is a must
Demonstrable strong working knowledge of NMAS
Strong knowledge of smart cards or other two factor technologies and its integration with CITRIX clients.
Good working knowledge of implementation of SSL Certificates and Authentication methods (SAML, Kerberos, LDAP, NTLM)
Good working knowledge of Load Balancers/GSLB (F5 knowledge a plus).
Good understanding of Firewall rule implementation & troubleshooting.
Knowledge of other Remote Access Platforms (Pulse Secure, Cisco VPN).
Flexible working hours would be required.
Strong knowledge of performance management and capacity planning.
Strong communication skills

Participates with more senior team members to work significant and unique issues in the enterprise where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles
Able to solve complex problems within domain of expertise held
Moderately able to demonstrate clarity and "out-of-the-box" thinking in analyzing problems that affect the team

Utilizes skill set to help less experienced team members adapt
