Assoc Technician, Electronics - Military veterans preferred

1. The successful candidates will have a thorough knowledge and understanding electrical/electronics equipment and cable installation/removal for shipboard and shore based systems, i.e. combat, satellite, LANS, video and communications systems.

2. Candidates should be familiar with government and Navy Quality Assurance requirements, shipyard procedures, and various related installation guidelines.
3. Candidates must be experienced in the use of various types of general purpose electrical/electronics and data test equipment.
4. Candidates will be experienced in the connection of various types of video, copper, and RF cables and the building of associated connectors.
5. Candidate must have some experience in reading schematic, blueprints, NAVSEA drawings and follow verbal/written instruction.
6. Candidate must be able to participate in special projects as required.


1. Requires 2-3 years’ experience electrical and electronic systems installation.

2. Must be able to obtain a DBIDS badge for access to Naval Facilities and Bases
3. Must be able to pass BG check for access to Huntington Ingalls Industries (Newport News Shipyard)
