Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, or NASA std's certification may be required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Quality Inspector. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Compares defects against standards and recommend disposition
Participates in team meetings
Reviews and dispositions QA documentation (IDRs, DNs)
Generates and/or verifies traceability information
Verifies compliance to defined processing
Reviews parts for conformance to drawings
Authors QA processing documentation
Interfacing with coworkers and internal customers
Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
Participates as an active member of one or more project teams in a highly technical product development and production area
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Competent with running and programming PC-DIMIS
Competent with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances)
Fully proficient knowledge of basic electrical or mechanical technology
Fully proficient knowledge of ESD control
Fully proficient knowledge of Workmanship standards
Fully proficient knowledge of drawing interpretation
Skill in using PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
Skill in using basic inspection/measurement tools
Fully proficient knowledge and understanding of documentation, processing and production paperwork
Skill in using specific computer production tools
