Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Training Specialist Technician, to join us in our Marion, VA location. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts technical training courses for employees in manufacturing functions on multiple products
Interacts functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses
Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation or work instructions
Works with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions
Plans, develops and coordinates training programs for personnel
Prepares lesson plans and obtains training materials, determines methodology and coordinates the development of training aids
Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
Updates course documentation on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance
