Specialist, Cost Control

Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls. Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.


Responsible for project cost data analysis related to project spending trends vs budget vs forecast.

Communicate project cost status and analysis to the project leadership team.

Coordinate data collection and validation with procurement, accounting, engineering, and project management on regular basis.

Prepare project cost status reports for various projects and clients.

Demonstrate knowledge of project controls cost management principles and techniques.

Assist with project controls workload for multiple sites across customer base.



Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related Business, Accounting or Finance degree preferred.

1 to 4 years of project cost experience required.

Must be knowledgeable in cost systems

Must be proficient in SAP PS

Must be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft office products

Knowledge of SAP WBS structures required

Excellent communication skills and ability to function within a project team
