Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Compensation Anaylst. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
•Participates in the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs, policies and practices
•Monitors job description creation/review process to ensure descriptions are complete and accurate; reviews requests for new or revised job classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment, including teaming with the Law department to classify jobs consistent with the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
•Audits jobs for content and prepares job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities, activities, duties and requirements in accordance with external survey matches and internal practice
•Develops and/or participates in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine the company's competitive position
•Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance with prevailing compensation philosophy, guidelines, policies and practices and approves or works with requestor to find reasonable alternatives to meet the business need
•Recommends corrective actions to resolve various compensation-related problems
•Develops, maintains and administers bonus and incentive plan processes
•Researches, analyzes, proposes, authors, and executes salary administration policies and guidelines to support business objectives
•Assesses geographic labor markets to establish and maintain competitive national and local pay structures
•Assists with the annual salary planning process
•Analyzes and prepares special studies and recommendations on a variety of compensation programs.

•Developing compensation knowledge required including compliance with the state and federal laws that apply to plans, processes and other related actions
