The Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) Mission Management and Control (M2C) team is seeking a Chief Architect for New Business pursuits, IRAD activities and technical support to leading-edge satellite ground development programs in Aurora, Colorado.

The Chief Architect will interact with Raytheon senior leadership, customers and technical subject matter experts to develop strategic offerings for classified government customers. They will also lead a technical pursuit team, both local and dispersed, in developing the detailed technical solution and cost basis for our offerings, as well as helping the Technical Director and program Chief Engineers in developing and maintaining technical roadmaps. Work products will include white papers, concept of operations, technical bids, studies and other artifacts as required to communicate and demonstrate technical solutions and roadmaps. In addition, this position will also include filling in for the M2C Technical Director on an as-needed basis.

This position reports to the M2C Technical Director.

Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizens with a current SSBI clearance

There is the potential for external candidates to receive a sign-on bonuses of up to $20,000 for hires with an active Top Secret clearance if hired on this requisition.

Required Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
•US Citizen with current/existing SSBI security clearance

•10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record.
•Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multi-disciplinary teams
•Satellite planning and scheduling or command and control
•Ground equipment command and control
•Systems engineering functions including: system architecture and operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control
•System integration and system test
•Information Assurance/Security Engineering requirements and how they impact system design and implementation
•Technical contributor Proposal / New Business experience
•Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team

Desired Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
•Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
•Satellite orbital mechanics
•Satellite sub-systems and related technologies
•Real-time embedded systems/flight software
•Satellite RF communications systems (ground and space)
•Operations including: procedure development, training, transition planning, installation, and deployment
•Complex satellite ground systems, particularly previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations
•Requirements management
•CONOPS / OPSCON development
•Integration, and/or verification and validation
•Architecture development of SW centric system
•SE process development and deployment
•Cost estimation

Education Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
