Description:This position is for an Industrial Engineer for Overhaul and Repair facility. Candidate must have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a rapid changing environment. This individual should possess working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. This position will require a close working relationship with IPT, Quality, Finance and Engineering departments. Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalant experience
- Production (Shop Floor) experience
- Experience with critical path methodology and application
- Experience with metrics to monitor schedule progress and help identify risk areas
Desired Skills:
Candidate must be a highly motivated team player and must have excellent interpersonal, analytical and leadership skills.
Prior relevant operations experience
Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques and principles as well as work measurements and labor standards
Lean Six Sigma Experience
Excellent quantitative analysis skills
Candidate must be able to work in a high pressure environment, have excellent organizational skills and must be able to work independently.
Strong computer skills such as, SAP, Solumina, Microsoft Office, Access/Excel/Power Point/Word and AutoCad LT are required.
