Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Production Technician. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
Assembles component parts, sub-assemblies, or completed units, including electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and structural assembly for products and instruments
Performs multiple tasks on an assigned team, project, or functional area
Performs quality assurance and reliability testing following established methods and procedures
Coordinates, plans, and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies
May provide production scheduling and control
May participate in programs or functional team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost, and scheduling
Interfaces with employees and management across the department and occasionally with employees outside the department
Works under general supervision receiving general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions for new activities or special assignments

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
General knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented
Ability to multi-task
Ability to organize a variety of types of data and activities
Ability to pick up new tasks quickly
