Working with the US Forces, Korea Intelligence Directorate (USFK J2) and in the Joint Intelligence Operations Center – Korea (JIOC-K), contractors will provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 level technical support to USFK J2 customers on NIPR, SIPR, and CENTRIXS networks during normal daily operations, exercises, crisis situations, and wartime.

  1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  2. Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
  3. Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.
  4. Provides technical support and training to end-users.
  5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have limited supervisory responsibilities.
  6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  7. Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 4-8 years of directly related experience supporting information systems operations.
  • Associate’s Degree with 6 years’ experience or High School Diploma with 8 years’ experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of related hardware and software.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community systems and operations.
  • Experience in the Korean Area of Operation highly desired.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
