Working in the Joint Intelligence Operations Center – Korea (JIOC-K), contractors will assist the Government in analysis using intelligence information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature.
Provides analysis and research, producing intelligence products associated with North Korea, military, political leadership, national military strategy, strategic doctrine, regional relations, and security issues.
Prepares assessments of current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Conducts all-source analysis, with the primary focus on air, naval, ground, Political and Economic (P&E), missile, Special Operations Forces (SOF), and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).
Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operational success. Maintains and manipulates intelligence information sharing databases, data formats/products, and shared directories.
Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes, and assists in identifying potential high interest intelligence.
Attends and serves as Subject Matter Expert for intelligence related conferences, meetings, exercises, and working groups.
May translate, conduct quality reviews, and update documents and products from Korean to English or English to Korean as requested by the Government.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
Participates in special projects as required.
Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience as an analyst supporting intelligence analysis and operations.
Associate’s Degree with 10 years’ experience or High School Diploma with 12 years’ experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree requirements.
Korean language capability of 3/3 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) highly desired.
Experience in the Korean Area of Operation highly desired.
