Working for the US Forces in Korea Intelligence Directorate (USFK J2), contractors will coordinate, review, and track all documentation and data for USFK J2 requirements to ensure requests for services or goods are prioritized and validated.
Applies knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition programs; serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for USFK J2’s requirements process and the Requirements Control Board (RCB); provides technical expertise for document preparation and submission.
Assists government procurement agencies in defining proposals and qualifying vendors. Collaborates and coordinates with appropriate stakeholders to ensure requirements are properly articulated into acquisition and appropriation language and are submitted in time to ensure delivery of services or goods to meet Procurement Action Lead Time (PALT) schedules for all events.
Devises strategies for developing and implementing new acquisition program initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation.
Uses quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving acquisition/program planning, control, and execution. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures for the requirements process.
Updates and maintains the USFK J2’s prioritized project list, and assists in coordinating and synchronizing all projects with USFK J2 SMEs through the validation process.
Assists in ensuring requirements are validated by RCB members and approved by the J2.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibility.
May serve as a team or task leader.
Participates in special projects as required.
Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in acquisition management or related military experience.
Associate’s Degree with 10 years’ experience or High School Diploma with 12 years’ experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of intelligence analysis and operations highly desired.
Experience in the Korean Area of Operation highly desired.
