Provide broad-based consulting, conceptual and technical support for the development, implementation and use of executive compensation programs appropriate for business needs and consistent with the organization’s overall reward strategy. Play a key role in the design, implementation and management of long term incentive plans, deferred compensation programs, Board of Director compensation as well as the development of materials for the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors. Function as a technical resource in the process of identifying priorities, opportunities, and facilitating implementation and management across the multiple functional groups. Minimum 7 years related experience.
Position Responsibilities
Drive results by coaching, counseling, partnering, planning and monitoring; assist with teaching staff, HR partners and employees.
Provide consultation, assistance and guidance to HR partners and management on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, organization design, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to executive compensation related programs.
Provide subject matter expertise in the design, development, implementation and ongoing administration of various executive compensation programs.
Analyze the effectiveness of existing executive compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures; recommend plan revisions as well as new plans which are cost effective and consistent with trends and organization objectives.
Proactively assist with the compilation and preparation of data and materials for the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors, the annual proxy statement and other SEC related filing requirements.
Manage the administration of direct compensation (executives and Board of Directors) for organization including the processing and reporting of compensation-related actions.
Consult as necessary with HR partners for out of cycle compensation adjustments according to established guidelines.
Provide consulting, integration and change management support for any merger, acquisition and divestiture activity.
Participate and sometimes lead compensation projects including automation of compensation processes, equity program grants, etc.
Position Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related degree required
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in compensation
Demonstrated experience with various laws impacting compensation
Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Experience with PeopleSoft, Workday or other HRIS
Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to deal with ambiguity, change in a dynamic business environment as well as conflict management and mediation skills
Demonstrated ability to develop strong consulting relationships and influence business leaders through coaching and partnership
