The Advanced Test Systems Engineering Center (ATSEC), within the Systems Test Directorate, is comprised of five departments and an engineering population of approximately 550+ employees, and produces over $300M+/year of delivered products. The ATSEC organization has the responsibility to grow and sustain the Engineering competencies throughout all design and development activities, and to make affordable, credible, agile, and robust test systems.
Within ATSEC, the Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) RF Systems Department has the responsibility to design, develop, and maintain engineering test systems (missile flight simulators) that operate real-time and closed-loop with the weapon’s hardware and software. The work is both challenging and exciting.
This position is for an electrical engineer, responsible for design ranging from circuit card assemblies, chassis layout and designs for power and control systems, to interconnects for complex missile hardware-in-the-loop facilities. The engineer may be responsible for schematic design and capture, drawing configuration management and release cycle, to procurement and integration of the design. The engineer may also be responsible for rack layouts, design of system interconnects, and final integration of the assemblies.
