National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst for our Regulatory and Strategy department in Brooklyn, New York.
To lead revenue requirements analysis as well as supporting pricing activities.
Calculate rates and surcharges.
Communicate changes to various billing operations, accounting, customer, revenue forecasting and finance areas within the Company.
Calculate customer bill impacts of forecasted rate changes for various areas within the Company, the media, and other outside agencies.
Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations of actual commodity purchase costs with recoveries from customers. Forecast year-end variance. Coordinate with commodity procurement, accounting and financial areas. Handle audit reviews.
Prepare studies that support development of embedded cost of service studies, marginal cost studies, revenue allocation, and rate design.
Also perform analysis of customer billing data, revenues, sales and cost data.
Submit compliance filings, tariff filings and reports in accordance with requirements.
Support tariff administration, including updating tariffs and provide tariff interpretation to other areas in the Company seeking tariff advice.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and confidence in interacting with regulators and National Grid management.
Lead Analysts would be expected to provide guidance to junior members.
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field (essential)
5-7 years of utility regulatory or accounting/finance experience
