USfalcon, Inc., recognized as one of the fastest growing, privately held companies in the United States, is seeking an OPIR Test Analyst III to work at Schriever AFB, CO.
JOB SUMMARY: Space Operations subject matter expert providing testing expertise in support of operational test and evaluation. The analyst will investigate software, hardware and operational requirements to determine test design. The analyst will apply Design of Experiments techniques as required to plan test coverage and determine data requirements. The analyst will perform all phases of the test process with emphasis on test design, data planning, and test tool selection/development. The analyst will develop test procedures to document data collection and analysis techniques. The analysis plans will include appropriate statistical methods and tools to determine performance and predict future performance. The analyst will generate reports containing the data analyses, findings, and recommendations for leadership decisions.
CONUS travel may be required.
Provide subject matter expertise on Space Control mission systems.
Develop test design using a hierarchical structure consisting of Critical Operational Issues (COIs), Objectives, Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) / Measures of Suitability (MOSs), and Measures of Performance (MOPs).
Develop test approach with the intent of performing statistical analysis to evaluate system performance. Test approach may include scenario injection, simulations, real-world system operations, external sensors, and users.
Provide test support through development of documentation including; Test Plan, Data Management and Analysis Plan, Test Execution Procedures, Test Reports, Detailed Analysis Reports, and operator surveys.
Execute the planned system test to assess performance.
Direct data collection activities and verify all test objectives are completed.
Evaluate data and assess system performance using validated truth data and tools developed during test planning.
Conduct detailed statistical analysis on the operational data using software tools to characterize data and identify trends.
Collect and analyze maintenance data to determine system reliability, availability, and maintainability in support of the evaluation of suitability requirements.
Build surveys to be provided to system operators and maintainers to evaluate acceptability of human factors, documentation, training safety, and other areas as applicable.
Create technical reports and presentations to accurately describe system problems, analysis techniques, and support measure ratings.
Support the development, review, and coordination of test reporting documents and test report briefings; present the evaluation results to the 17 TS for approval; and ensure all documents and briefings comply with AFI, ACC, and AFSPCI section.
Assist other Test Analysts by reviewing and providing comments to test briefings and documentation.
Additional duties as assigned.
A minimum of five (5) years of combined technical experience in DoD (i.e., mission operations within the OPIR systems) and USAF OT&E testing.
An additional four (4) years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for Journeyman education requirements, for a total of nine (9) years of experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
Understanding of Design of Experiments fundamentals and able to apply DOE principles to test planning and post test-data analysis methods.
Understanding of how to evaluate common system effectiveness and suitability factors including reliability, maintainability, and availability.
Working knowledge of test and evaluation directives and a broad understanding of statics to include: standard metrics, data distributions, data sampling techniques, confidence intervals and regression test techniques.
The ability to use software tools to analyze raw data and identify system performance.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, from an accredited institution.
