The Business Infrastructure (BI) Organization within Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking a full-time or part-time Systems Administrator to help support the computing infrastructure needs of our 350 person Cambridge location. Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, laptop and desktop support for the personal computers of BBN personnel, server organization and maintenance, software maintenance, liaison with hardware service support, network support, maintain inventory and government property tracking, maintain printers and other IT assets, prepare equipment for reuse or disposal, liaison with the other BI IT personnel, and other IT systems support as needed.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems, common office and IT applications, and network equipment and protocols. The BBN Business Units includes classified facilities and performs Government contract work, so a security clearance, Security+ certification, and a knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and or NIST 800-171 standards are a plus.

Required Skills & Education:
*BS/BA Degree
*Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in Systems Administration
*Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and/or Linux operating systems.
*Knowledge of and experience with systems administration practices/procedures as applied to software management, and system configuration.
*Facility for troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
*Demonstrated ability and interest in acquiring new technological skills.
*Ability to work in a team environment.
*The ability to obtain a security clearance for which the Department of Defense requires US citizenship.

Desired Skills:
*Active security clearance
*Security+ certification
*Knowledge of and/or familiarity with NIST 800-171 standards and the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
*Working knowledge of networking essentials and Cisco Network Appliances, including routers, Layer 2 and 3 switches, and ASA Firewall/VPN devices.
*Working knowledge of DISA STIG and SCAP tools a plus.
*Familiarity with administering tools such as Jira, Wikis, TRAC
*Familiarity with Subversion and Git version control systems.
*Knowledge of Redhat Identity manager, FreeIPA, OpenLDAP, Samba, NFS, DNS, Apache Web Servers, and Postfix.
*Demonstrated ability to support of a fast-paced set of developers and to balance priorities of multiple tasks.
*Ability to balance need to work at speed with focus on high quality, reliable solutions; intention to solve problems without generating new ones
*Interest in learning, developing new approaches, and ability to accept responsibility for work quality
