Sr Program Manager with TS/SCI - Military veterans preferred

GDIT is currently looking for the Deputy Program Manager Key position to act as the Operations Manager in direct support of the Program Director on a large government contract who holds a TS/SCI clearance for a full time position located at Bolling JBAB. The Operations Manager will serve as a top level technical/functional expert, often working on multiple projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design and develop an efficient and effective Service Operation model that will encompass the ITIL concepts of Service Design > Service Transition > Service Operations > Continual Service Improvement
Report directly to the Program Director in this capacity
Adopt a common framework and standards
Ensure Operations Model is followed by Task Order personnel and refer issues to the PM for resolution
Set correct expectations on the performance and use of new or changed services
Ensure that services can be managed, operated and supported in accordance within contract constraints
Provide good-quality knowledge and information about services and service assets.
Allow for innovation while minimizing the unintended consequences of change
Align service transition plans with the business needs
Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders
Establish effective controls and disciplines
Anticipate and manage course corrections
Proactively manage resources across service transitions
Performs highly specialized technical tasks associated with cutting-edge technologies.
Works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals.
Applies expert functional knowledge and experience to significant business projects or processes.
May perform business development activities, including providing technical input to proposal efforts.
May serve as a technical task or project leader.
May have supervisory responsibilities.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant developments in area of expertise.
Participates in special projects as required.
10-12 years of related program management experience.
Expert level knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in assigned area of expertise.
Professional certification(s) in one or more specific applications or processes may be required, depending on job assignment.
