Performs a variety of general administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer.

Core Hours 0900-1500
During the running of Orientation (two times a year) expected to report (by 8:00a and depart at 4:30p) to the Chantilly complex for the duration of the Course (3 days)
• Prepare meeting agenda for meetings/activities (career development workshops, monthly meetings and career service all-hands)
• Draft notes to document discussions and actions confirmed at meeting to be disseminated to attendees and posted on web-site
• Conduct first-line review of documentation and articles prior to presenting to management for approval for dissemination to Sponsor management and workforce
• Prepare written summaries and status reports on group actions and initiatives
• Create, update, and maintain online content for office and group careerists
• Seek ways to improve administrative process for efficiency
• Create standard operating procedures to document step-by-step guidance on how to perform administrative actions, in the absence of Admin support
• Actively participate in office meetings, conferences, and off-sites by engaging in discussions, documenting follow-on actions and meeting minutes
• Ensure timely receipt and acknowledgement of mail and other communication items

1. Performs a variety of general administrative tasks, such as preparing reports and correspondence, answering phones, filing, and sorting and distributing mail, in support of the day-to-day operations of an office, group or customer.

2. Compiles various contract, program, and financial data using various database programs, and prepares monthly status reports based on the results.


3. Collects and inputs timesheet information into automated accounting system and processes labor corrections.


4. Processes purchasing requisitions, invoices for consultants and subcontractors, and travel and expense reports.


5. Serves as point of contact for the office or group on issues related to accounting, human resources, purchasing, and other departments, as well as outside contacts such as customers, vendors, and subcontractors.


6. Participates in special projects as required.


1-3 years of related administrative experience.
