Deployed Systems Senior Test Engineer - Military veterans preferred

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense secret security clearance is desired at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Deployed Systems Senior Test Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
The selected candidate will work with a collaborative team to build and ensure adequate functionality of various General Dynamic Mission Systems and client technologies. Key responsibilities of the Deployed Systems Test Engineer is to research, design, develop and test electronic equipment and systems at GDMS including; circuity components, analog and digital computing equipment, and control and test equipment. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading efforts to provide innovative and timely resolutions to Fire Control Systems and Attack Weapon Systems, software, and hardware anomalies on-board Fleet Ballistic Missile and Guided Missile Submarine platforms and shore facilities. This position involves direct customer interface to address current Operational Support support related issues and provide clear and concise technical recommendations and status.

Very solid knowledge and experience with object oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages

Very solid knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
