Working Conditions:

Based in an operational theatre of war, with arduous conditions.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

Deputise for designated manager in all of the below fields

Management and delivery of the OSS Herat Airfield Contracts (AFLS / TAS, AOS, SNIC, CATO, Logistics, Workshops)

Carrying out initial surveys of new / extension works

Be knowledgeable of cargo operations, associated ground activities, passenger services at airports as well as Maintenance and Supply Support Services

Ensuring the on time delivery of all services on the multirole operational military airfield

Compliance with the Health and Safety at Works Act and KBR HSE policies.

Commitment of KBR resources deployed to meet contractual requirements.

Management, discipline and co-ordinating training of all OSS employees involved in all services

Management of any sub-contractors.

Ensure all KBR corporate and in-theatre policies are adhered to by OSS Herat staff.

Provide day to day management of all aspects of service delivery.

Investigate faults and problems and advise on Herat service delivery and related matters

Supervise and ensure all work is managed within the given time frames as stated in the SOWs and financially within budget

Provide a 24/7 Customer Focal Point service to manage the operational needs of the Client

Maintain a close relationship with the client through regular meetings

Proven capability of using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel for the use of reports, plans and operating procedures

Prepare and provide routine and ad hoc management reports as required

Control of the Work schedule.

Control and timely delivery of service delivery plans

Any other duties as required.

Essential:

Must hold UK SC/NATO Secrets Clearance

Military experience

Experience working overseas as a civilian in a military environment

Experience of managing a minimum of 50 mixed nationality personnel.

Budget management proven capability

Member of a recognised professional body

Experience working directly with government clients in overseas locations

Be familiar with NATO, ICAO, IATA and ISO terminology and standards

Preferred:

Knowledge of KBR’s processes
