Chief Technical Advisor - Process
Position Description/Job Responsibilities
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the study, design, and specification and services related to Chemical and Petrochemical industries
Responsible for heat and material balance, the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment and apparatus such as heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, etc. May also be responsible for development of process simulations and advanced controls/process optimization. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Plans, schedules, and conducts working requiring independent judgment and adaptation of engineering techniques.
The candidate should have demonstrated a high level of initiative, innovation and have the ability to analyze and provide design solutions and technology improvements. Operations and field troubleshooting experience will also be highly desirable.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of twenty plus (20 ) years of related experience and an average of twenty five plus (25 ) years of industry experience.
Demonstrated leadership of a functional area on projects, including responsibility for budget and schedule of the assigned project area. Experience with employee performance appraisals and coaching required.
Related experience, including P&ID development, relief valve sizing, and hydraulic calculations. Knowledge of SmartPlant P&ID, Pro-II, and Unisim/Aspen software suites is desired. Experience leading small to large design groups is required.
