Job Purpose
National Grid outsources a significant portion of their construction and maintenance work plan. Capital Delivery (CD) is responsible for overseeing the contractor workforce and managing the contracts governing these arrangements. The Contracts & Commercial department portfolio is comprised of several contracts including Gas, Electric, Support Services & Engineering.
Contracts & Commercial has several departments including the Process and Performance department. We are responsible for developing, managing, and tracking performance on the entire contract portfolio.
The Performance Reporting Analyst will work to improve the overall process for contract data collection, analysis and reporting to optimize construction delivery, including delivery metrics, safety trending, quality performance, change order management and the provision of consistent accurate information to key stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Analyse and report evaluations of contract portfolio and process improvements to ensure contract compliance with contract deliverables. Measure end-to-end implementation of projects related to data management, delivery performance and reporting to support efficient delivery of contracts. Work across a team of analysts to develop sustainable methods of providing informative, accurate construction contract data to stakeholders to provide progress and support critical decisions related to the contract portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
Review portfolio of contracts from a delivery perspective to identify improvement opportunities, data requirements, commercial strategies, targeted analysis, and performance management initiatives
Develop, manage, and continuously improve contract performance metrics for contractors
Support contract performance review meetings with key contractors to review performance utilizing a balanced scorecard approach
Provide customized reports that meet stakeholder needs (e.g., PSC, National Grid leadership, various National Grid delivery organizations, contractors, etc)
Provide fact-based analysis and recommendations for various strategic business decisions
Collaborate with Process Leads to conduct data collection and analysis on specific process improvement opportunities to measure impact and value.
Support Performance Improvement Plans for underperforming contractors, by analysing root cause of performance issues and developing metrics to track their improvement.

Qualifications
Well-developed written and communication skills, ability to present and explain key findings.
Proven ability to think creatively and outside the box to overcome complex business challenges. Ability to take an idea and create a robust analysis/solution.
Well-developed problem solving skills
Successful track record of identifying and sharing best practices and implementing change
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work well in matrix organizations and cross functional teams
Proficiency in MS Office based applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Bachelor ' s degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or Business and 5+ years of analytical experience
