Job Purpose
To lead a safety and performance culture within the field teams providing a safe working environment, ensuring effective delivery of allocated projects and the continued safe and reliable operation of the electricity transmission substation assets.
Key Accountabilities
Ensure timely development of distribution construction designs, plans, construction schedules and other requirements to meet business plan goals, and construction schedules required to meet the customer need dates.
Ensure that designs are complete, accurate and buildable to meet design intent.
Ensure staff adheres to Distribution Design Standards/Processes.
Interfaces externally with major Industrial and Commercial customers as well as relevant external stakeholders.
Supervises direct reports in their response to delivery system outages and contingencies.
Motivates, counsels, coaches and develops direct reports and others; establish clearly defined goals and standards of divisional employee performance.
Ensure proper administration of the labor agreement and all safety and human resource policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain effective communications with Union Leadership and all department employees.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Effective planning, leadership, communication and supervisory skills.
personal development, coaching and mentoring of junior team members.
Qualifications
BSC in Electrical Engineering
OR Associates degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years experience
5-8 years experience in Distribution design
