Description:Provide hardware engineering support for Weapons Control System programs within the RMS LOB.
Support includes: Analyzing customer requirements (power, cooling, environment, storage, and transportation), develop and present PowerPoint presentations, develop Bills of Material, generate layouts,
generate COTS modification and assembly drawings, coordinate material purchases with procurement department and approve of vendor quotes, supervise and support hardware assembly tasks, coordinate with vendors to repair or replace defective or damaged
equipment, identify and document facility work service mods, coordinate and support equipment installation at test and customer facilities, and provide customer support to help them resolve problems. Will need to perform occasional RMA and FMECA analysis. Program is beginning stage of developing a virtualized HW architecture.
Familiar with ruggedized mounting COTS hardware in racks and
transit cases for military applications
- Familiar with military environmental requirements including
temperature, humidity, shock, vibration
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to work independently
- Experience with developing Virtualized HW solutions
- MS office
- LMC P2P procurement tool
- LMC Proposal Bill of Material tool
- Understand power analysis of COTS equipment
- Hands-on equipment assembly and installation
- Understand shipping large amounts of equipment, domestic and
- Experience with agile processes and implementation
- Naval program experience
