Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems - Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) EW Electronic Protect Department is seeking talented and collaborative technical candidates to join our EWS Advanced Concepts Section to help deliver emerging and disruptive solutions to ensure warfighter advantage. The selected candidate will be given opportunities to engage in a variety of cutting edge and innovative technology development across the Advanced Concepts & Technology (ACT) business area. Responsibilities will include systems engineering design and analysis, performing trade studies, performance analysis, requirements flow down, requirements management, documentation and technical presentations to customers, derivation of new algorithms for Threat System Identification, FPGA and ASIC Digital Design for new architectures, and simulation and test of prototype hardware.

The EW System Design team brings together many technical competencies to develop next generation EW products. The candidate will assist in modeling and analysis of one or more of the following concepts: EA/EP interactions, resource management effectiveness, advanced adversary IADS, Airborne tactical datalinks, EW Battle Management, and advanced electronic attack concepts. The team works closely with EW capture teams to describe the performance of EW systems operating in realistic CONOPS.
Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more areas of the system engineering development lifecycle, from system requirements and system design through integration and test utilizing the Integrated Product Development System (IPDS).
Experience in applying engineering concepts for problem solving using critical thinking skills
Experience with MATLAB or similar performance analysis tool(s); test analysis and report generation
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Occasional business travel is required - Opportunities in both Goleta and El Segundo, CA.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance within one year of starting work - OR - possess Active (or active within past 24 months) DoD Secret Clearance (NOTE* that some programs may require an active clearance to be hired).
Working knowledge of Radio Frequency concepts as applied to technologies such as amplifiers and related microwave modules Electronic Warfare knowledge and experience with understanding of threat systems, mission analysis, and Concept of Operations.
Works independently, determines & develops approach to solutions.
Rhapsody and other modeling environments; DOORS and other requirements management applications.
Experience working with lab test equipment and within a test environment.
Brawler, AFSIM, ESAMS, Suppressor, and other mission analysis tools.
Required Education: BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); advanced degree(s) preferred
