Prepositioning and Marine Corps Logistics Services (P&MCLS) program is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.



We are seeking a

Material Specialist III,

for our Jacksonville, Florida location.

Job Summary:

Performs functions relating to the technical research, requisitioning, custodial record keeping, and issue, disposal, redistribution, inventory, self-assessment, transfers and tracking of equipment.

This includes troubleshooting, analyzing data and problem solving related to the above functions. Also includes the use of automated systems (both hardware and software) related to accomplishment of the above tasks. Provides training and guidance to lower level employees. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications



·

High school graduate or equivalent.

·

Eight years related experience.

Complete the Computer Operator Course, or equivalent.

Complete basic military supply course, or equivalent.

·

Complete Combat Service Support Chief Course, or equivalent.

Solid understanding of the organization's logistic functions and the activities involved in inventory / life cycle management.

·

Working knowledge of information processing methodology / technology, computer capabilities, and processing techniques.

·

Working knowledge of various computer features and functions.

·

Skills to read, interpret, and correctly respond to information in the form in which it is transmitted through the computer system.

·

Working knowledge of GCSS and DPAS functionality and supply related transactions.

Ability to perform Supply functions in relation to inventory management.

·

Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

·

Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

·
