Managing the Outage Management Systems (OMS) and performing OMS application development tasks, data analysis, and data maintenance activities; Representing the OMS team in discussions and projects with other internal departments and external contacts; Designing, developing and implementing web-based reporting enhancements; Working with other members of OMS support team to investigate and resolve technical issues within the outage management systems and environments; Interacting with internal departments to provide information and guidance around OMS capabilities and data; Participating in a lead role on projects that require OMS subject matter expertise; Planning and leading OMS software upgrades and maintenance activities, resilience testing, and disaster recovery exercises; Providing updates and presentations to senior management and stakeholders; Serving as an administrative site lead for the Northborough OMS support team, coordinating storm response, off hours support, and vacation coverage; Participating in 24x7 on call rotation to provide application and hardware support; Participating in onsite storm restoration support as needed, providing application and hardware support; Monitoring and approving all budgeted project expenditures; Managing the distribution electrical model in the ABB Network Manager Outage Management System (OMS), including managing the data transfer and data import process for the New England OMS, performing incremental updates of data, and managing temporary changes to the network model; and Managing the data modeling of electric distribution network and weekly import of network model data from the corporate Geospatial Information System (GIS) into the ABB OMS system in the CNI network.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree); plus three (3) years of experience with the Outage Management System (OMS) application development, Geospatial Information System (GIS), data modeling of electric distribution network, and 24x7 production support and upgrades for a utility company, including experience with Oracle Database (8i/9i/10g/11g), Java, SQL, Shell Scripting, DXF/DWG management, ABB Network Manager apps, ABB netCadops, Smallworld GIS, FocalPoint, IBM WebSphere MQ, SQL, PL/SQL, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or higher, Microsoft Active Directory, SQL Loader, SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, Service Now, Windows server administration, and SharePoint configuration. Occasional travel within the U.S. (NY, MA & RI) approx. 4 weeks total travel time per year. Background checks may apply.
