Responsible for the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of data communications networks.



  1. Possesses technical expertise on network enterprise solutions using LAN, MAN, and WAN technologies.


  1. Configure switching and routing systems to customer environments.


  1. Have the ability to install Ethernet equipment to include physical installation of switches, running of fiber and copper jumpers, and labeling.


  1. Respond to customer requests for support in resolving complex BAN networking issues including troubleshooting, configuration and optimization.


  1. Provide over-the-shoulder training as needed.


  1. Perform network administration duties.


  1. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.


  1. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, responsible, technically apt, and business professionals. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive team relationships with a variety of internal and external customers, peers, and management. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to work independently, make appropriate timely decisions, and implement redirects without undue stress. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to timely, appropriately, and effectively deal with customer issues and conflict.


  1. Candidate must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software tools (Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio)


  1. Participates in special projects as required.


  • 10-15 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.
  • Candidate must have experience with AF Communications Data Networks—to include management and maintenance of NIPR and SIPR networks
  • Secret Clearance
  • Security+
  • CCNP or equivalent

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering. 10 years applicable experience can be substituted for BS degree
