The Supply Chain Material Program Management and Supplier Program Management Discipline Owner is a strong leader with a demonstrated track record of delivering outstanding supply chain performance. It is expected that the MPM / SPM Discipline Owner will be the ‘go-to’ person within GSC for any questions and recommendations about best practices, tactical execution and strategy development within these disciplines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating and proliferating best practices for both the Material Program Management and Supplier Program Management communities. Demonstrated experience in material strategy development, management of major subcontracts, cost account management, managing budgets, earned value reporting, subcontract management plans, and program execution are essential. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills and should be able to provide education and advisement of supply chain processes. An in-depth knowledge of the Raytheon IPDS process, purchase order placement mechanics and management of Suppliers would be beneficial to this role.
This position requires a ‘self starter’ mentality, where there will be limited management oversight and day to day direction. It is expected that the Discipline Owner own the role and drive the execution.
The ability to coach and mentor is also critical, as this role manages Missile Systems’ participation in the Raytheon Enterprise MPM Certification Program. This includes teaching courses, developing new curriculum, supporting MPM’s progressionTodd through the process and ultimately, serving as the representative on the Raytheon MPM Certification Board. In addition to the educational enrichment of the MPM/SPM community, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the supply chain role in the cross functional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
