Senior Manager - SEC Reporting
Position Description/Job Responsibilities:
The SEC Reporting Senior Manager will be directly responsible for managing the preparation and filing of our SEC documents, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, and coordination with our legal team with respect to various other miscellaneous filings.
The SEC Reporting Senior Manager will also support technical accounting research related to new and proposed accounting standards as well as participating in the identification and resolution of technical accounting issues across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation and review of Quarterly and Annual SEC Reports on Forms 10-Q and 10-K
Maintain quarterly reporting time table and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones
Identify and maintain processes to collect accurate disclosure information including relevant disclosure checklists and reporting schedules from business unit and functional department personnel
Maintain accurate XBRL reporting associated with relevant SEC filings
Coordinate the collection and review of comments from key stakeholders in the disclosure process
Communicate accounting/reporting issues and evolving guidance to senior management
Assist in the preparation of other miscellaneous filings including Forms 8-K and press releases
Participate in technical accounting research efforts including new and proposed accounting/reporting standards such as revenue recognition and leases
Participate in the development and delivery of regular training programs for professional accounting associates
Assist business unit and other functional support groups in identification, resolution and documentation of technical accounting issues
Participate in the creation, implementation and maintenance of effective and practical global accounting policies and procedures
Assist in the coordination of annual audit and quarterly review activities of external auditors
Support month end and year end closing processes and financial statement reviews as well as relevant internal control procedures
Assist in recruiting, training and development of financial reporting staff
Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations including XBRL
Strong analytical, problem-solving and research skills coupled with exceptional planning and organizational capabilities
Ability to multi-task and prioritize diverse tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience various accounting research and filing tools such as Workiva, Intelligize and Accounting Research Manager a plus.
CPA license a plus with 4 to 6 years of combined experience within a Big 4 accounting firm and/or public company environment
Bachelor degree in accounting or finance required
