Technical Advisor - Military Operations
Possess a minimum of 8 years’ military experience to operate at the company level; and a Minimum of 10 years’ military experience to operate at the battalion/higher level. Have held a key position within the unit at the level company/ battalion/ brigade that the individual shall be working. Possess the military education level of Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course for NCOs, or equivalent, and The Captains’ Career Course for Officers at Company level. Battle Staff for NCOs and CGSC for Officers at the Battalion and above level.
Key positions are defined at the company level as Platoon Sergeant and above. Key positions for Battalion and Brigade include Commander, Executive Officer, S-3, Operations officers, Primary Staff, and special Staff for Officers.
For NCOs they include Command Sergeant Major/ Sergeant Major positions, Key staff NCOIC Operations positions. Personnel must possess a minimum of 5 years experience relevant to the military specialty or warfighter function for which they will be functioning as TAF.
Waivers may be authorized by the Contracting Officer based on a review of proposed individuals’ qualifications.
