Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science degree or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
Department of Defense TS/SCI with polygraph required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a Services Controller to join our Operations team. The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge equipment and systems that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and further advance GDMS technologies. The Services Controller position is a 27x7 operator position that leads other operators in the execution of daily procedures, performs routine operations procedures, and monitor GUIs to ensure operational needs are met.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Serve as the front-line of support for operational crew activities for larger system when issues occur
Required to become certified on multiple operator positions
Required to obtain system operations certification; the certification required has knowledge based learning and on the-job training provided;
Works very closely with the customer and requires a professional and customer focused attitude.
Work with customers to understand their needs to aid in entry and processing of near-term requirements
Monitor system performance to be able to respond or lead response to event notifications
Support system testing after upgrades and during maintenance activities
Leading crew members in routine procedures to maintain system state of health
Report discrepancies concisely as they occur
Identify areas of process improvements to increase operational readiness
Coordinate with engineering subject matter experts to implement configuration changes and other maintenance activities in accordance with operational procedures
Leads daily turnover processes, updates operations logs on daily activity progress, reviews operation log entry from other operators for accuracy.
Participates in the development of operational and engineering processes

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities, multiple demands and crises
Detail oriented
Able to use Microsoft office to develop check
lists, recurring daily update slides, operational procedures, etc.
PREFERRED DEGREE TYPE AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in a real-time operations environment
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
SQL experience
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of satellite communications
Understanding of Radio Frequency spectrums
