The HVAC/Environmental Control Unit Field Engineer is responsible for the installation, operations, repairs, and maintenance of the Patriot Environmental Control cooling Unit on the Engagement Control Station (ECS), Information and Coordination Center (ICC), Communications Relay Group (CRG), and Battery/Battalion Maintenance Center (BMC). The HVAC/Environmental Control Unit Engineer provides technical assistance and training when requested by the Patriot Fire Unit and Battalion, and assists with any equipment exchanges. The Engineer will be required to develop a work schedule and work autonomous when required. The Engineer may also support the testing, operation and repair of commercial off the shelf (COTS) Environmental Control Units. The Engineer will interface with equipment manufacturer for follow on support, on a required basis. The HVAC Tech will provide oversight on Organizational and Direct Support repairs in accordance with (IAW), US ARMY 10/20/30 PMCS Maintenance Standards.
This position is located in UAE.
Must be able to work in extreme desert heat environments and lift 50 pounds.
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on knowledge and experience operating, maintaining, sustaining, and debugging of HVAC/Environmental Control Units.
Prefer10 years of related HVAC maintenance experience.
Previous experience with 24000 BTU split package air conditioners.
Prior assignment in a Middle Eastern Country.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Power Generation with 2 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 4 years of experience or HS Diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience.
