Position Description:

In support of the USCENTCOM HQ Operations, provide application engineering and coordination support for the AIDE program. USCENTCOM HQ uses the Automated Information Discovery Environment (AIDE) suite of software application tools which require continual O&M and periodic enhancement in support of the mission. Specialized staff augmentation is required to perform operations and maintenance activities for this Linux-based system of systems as well as on-going war-fighter training in the use of the AIDE suite in support of the Mission.

General duties will include:

- The software engineer shall integrate functions, features and capabilities into the AIDE server environment as determined by the Government

- Design, install, test and maintain software applications and systems

- Monitor computer system performance to ensure proper application operations

- Manage systems activities to ensure a rich user experience

- Prepared to work in an agile development environment and support operational requirements

- Provide training for warfighters on the use of applications and systems in support of the mission

- Deployable to USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (to include combat zones) on short notice

- Interacting and collaborating with warfighters on a 40+ hour week and if deployed a 12 hour, 6 day a week basis (72 hour week)

- Support on-call requirements, as needed, to maintain AIDE capabilities within HQ USCENTCOM and CFH

- Collect enhancement requirements and train users in support of the Mission

- Integrate multiple data sets (e.g. LOGCOP) into the AIDE architecture in support of the mission

Qualifications

:
Skills and Knowledge Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of experience; OR, High School equivalent and 13+ years of experience.

- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required for DoD 8570 compliance

- Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.

- Software development experience with Linux RedHat operating system

- Software development experience with GoLang computer language

- Software development experience with JavaREACT/Sencha computer language

- Extensive experience with the Automated Information Discovery Environment (AIDE) services and architecture

- Capable of trouble shooting server hardware, Linux OS, PostgreSQL Database, Active Directory, and other web services

- Interacting and collaborating with warfighters on a 40+ hour week and if deployed a 12-hour, 6 day a week basis (72 hour week)

- Possess strong working knowledge of the USCENTCOM HQ, CFH and AOR

- Must have valid US passport for travel outside of the United States

Desired Education and Skills:

- ITIL v3 Foundation certification desired
