Description:Designs, develops, and tests a wide variety of containers used for the protection, display, and handling of products. Determines packaging specifications according to the nature of the product, cost limitations, legal requirements, and the type of protection required, considering need for resistance to such external variables as moisture, corrosive chemicals, temperature variations, light, heat, rough handling, and tampering. Designs package exteriors considering such factors as product
identification, sales appeal, aesthetic quality, printing and production techniques. Responsibilities may include documentation management and an understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or
equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional
experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters
degree. Considered an emerging authority.

This facility requires special access and therefore all
candidates must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:
Previous packaging experience.
DOD contracts and DCMA experience.
Experience working with external suppliers to develop standard packaging across multiple programs to benefit the manufacturing environment.
