Sr. Civil Structural Engineer

Position Description/Job Responsibilities

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

KBR has an opening for a Civil/Structural engineer, with oil and gas project experience in the Middle East, to provide technical leadership on a new project in Saudi Arabia. Duties include building a project team, writing specifications, scheduling development, budget control and technical supervision. During the specification writing phase the engineer must be able to negotiate critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of the client team and resolve conflicting technical requirements between company and client. Job role contributes directly to value creation. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide the overall technical leadership for the Civil and Structural Engineering team and ensure quality, budget and schedule requirements are met.


Undergraduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and a minimum of 20 years related experience required.

Minimum 20 years experience working on oil and gas projects in the Middle East and minimum 10 years working in a leadership position on similar projects.

Leadership experience must include 5 years of specification writing new specifications and interpreting Aramco specifications.

A thorough understanding of Aramco and Sabic specifications is also a requirement.

Functional understanding of Microsoft Office, STAAD and Adobe software are crucial to job performance.
