Description:The position can be based in either Grand Prairie, TX or Archbald, PA.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide system engineering lead support for a commercial nuclear program.

This individual will perform the following duties:

Oversee and participate in test planning, report preparation, and provide test reports for customer and regulatory review.

Will participate in oversight of on-site testing activities and lab and subcontract facilities.

Will defend and explain testing strategy, progress, and results to management, the customer, and nuclear regulators.

Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position.

The Locale: The first location option is Grand Prairie, TA. It is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

The second option for location is Archbald, PA which is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is part of Lackawanna County in the Blue Ridge Mountain range. The entire region is about 100 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia. Archbald is a suburb of Scranton, PA. If you can't find what you are looking for in Archbald, you'll likely find it in Scranton. The city of Scranton hosts five colleges and universities: Lackawanna College, Marywood University, The University of Scranton, Johnson College, and The Commonwealth Medical College and one technical school, Fortis Institute. Where can you get to from Archbald?

Philadelphia is 2.5 hours to the south, and NYC is two hours to the southeast. Binghamton, NY is an hour north of Archbald. The Pocono Mountains and Lake Wallenpaupack are nearby. The Northeastern PA region offers an excellent cost of living and is a great place to live.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Desired Skills:
Familiar with creating test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
Familiar with conduct of environmental and qualification testing.
Familiarity with DoD acquisition/development or NRC nuclear regulations and standards.
Familiarity with Programmable Logic code.
Experience with a development program, and capturing design decisions into trade studies, architecture. Experience in eliciting and managing requirements
documents and requirements.
Knowledge of qualification testing including seismic, EMI, ESD, and thermal a plus.
Knowledge of nuclear testing for licensing and qualification.
Experience in managing risk.
Experience working with sub-contractors, and teams.
