The Melbourne transport team has a

variety of immediate secured work and future opportunities in the pipeline

including North Western Program Alliance work Level Crossing Removal packages,

Western Roads Upgrade, Inland Rail, future M80 Ring Road Upgrades, Melbourne

Airport Rail Link, and other large road and rail and projects.


Work independently to complete the planning, design and execution of projects that meet or exceed client expectations,

are within the agreed budget, and are delivered on or ahead of schedule and with minimal risk to the health and safety of people and the environment

Demonstrating strong understanding of client needs and achieve a high level of satisfaction

Proactively provide direction, mentoring and support to bid teams and project staff

Supervise project staff and review deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance standards

Assist the Sales Leader to develop business opportunities and win work

Monitor costs on an ongoing basis and do not allow them to exceed the predetermined and approved budget costs

Develop and maintain client relationships and industry knowledge

Prepare technically sound, well written and easily understood proposals and reports


B.Engineering or equivalent is essential.15 years railway experience, preferably including design and practical experience in a rail operations environment (either maintenance or construction)

Strong technical design ability specifically permanent way

Previous experience within a senior role

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Strong working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships

Strong practical knowledge of and commitment to health and safety in a railway operating environment.
