The Melbourne transport

team has a variety of immediate secured work and future opportunities in the

pipeline including North Western Program Alliance work Level Crossing Removal

packages, Western Roads Upgrade, Inland Rail, future M80 Ring Road Upgrades, Melbourne

Airport Rail Link, and other large road and rail and projects.

The opportunity

With several projects

currently being delivered and to position ourselves for future opportunities,

KBR are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our well

established and growing project team to lead a Buildings team within the NWPA,

as a Electrical Design Lead. Ideally this role will suit an Electrical Engineer

with 10

years’ experience in Civil (Road/Transport) engineering, including

solid knowledge of MTM, and BCA standards. This is fantastic role to move

towards a management pathway within a supportive and collegiate environment and

where you can really drive change and really create a high performing

team.

Responsibilities:

Work independently to complete

the planning, design and execution of projects that meet or exceed client

expectations, are within the agreed budget, and are delivered on or ahead

of schedule and with minimal risk to the health and safety of people and

the environment

Demonstrating strong

understanding of client needs and achieve a high level of satisfaction

Provide direction, mentoring

and support to bid teams and project staff

Supervise project staff and

review deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality

assurance standards

Assist the Project Leader to

develop further Project opportunities

Monitor costs on an ongoing

basis and do not allow them to exceed the predetermined and approved

budget costs

Develop and maintain client

relationships and industry knowledge

Prepare technically sound, well

written and easily understood proposals and reports

Requirements:

Bachelor of Engineering or

equivalent with a minimum of 15

years’ experience

Strong practical civil

engineering design experience

Excellent verbal and written

communication skills

Working knowledge of commercial

arrangements and relationships

Experience in detailed design

Experience in tram overhead

systems is desirable

Experience in project cost

estimating is essential.
