Job Description Summary
Reports to a building Chief Engineer, and works with other senior building operating engineers and utility engineers
Become familiar with and utilize web-based work order and preventative maintenance system to record, update, complete, and close out work requests
Respond to assigned work requests and preventative maintenance work orders quickly and efficiently as they are assigned
Make rounds and record status of equipment on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis, as assigned
Maintain good communications with customers regarding status of their work requests
Work with fellow engineers to address plumbing, electrical, and mechanical maintenance and repairs as needed
Assist with mechanical room cleaning and painting
Work with other engineers, facilities technicians, and administrative staff to help maintain a comfortable, professional working environment
Respond to all client company employees, contractors, and coworkers in a courteous and professional manner at all times
Be aware of and practice general safety procedures as reviewed and presented in monthly meetings
Respond to emergency situations and perform tasks necessary for well-being and protection of property and occupants
Good working knowledge of life safety system, plumbing, electrical, and controls.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good to excellent computer skills
Excellent work ethics and integrity.
Ability to interact with client employees, building staff, management, and vendors in a professional manner at all times
Present a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times
High School/Technical School diploma,
Minimum 1 – 2 years commercial facilities maintenance and related experience
