Job Description:

Supervises employees who put together component parts to make assemblies, subassemblies, or completed units. Manages and distributes work to team members received in task oriented terms. Provides direction (leading by example) to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees. Responsible for performance development for direct report employees. Makes sure that all employees have the skills and tools necessary for them to be successful at the job assigned. Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of predominately highly skilled non-exempt and entry level exempt employees. Monitors daily operations of assigned team and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. Recognizes and reward employees who exemplify Raytheon values. Meets commitments, and holds others accountable to theirs, by ensuring that work packages are completed on time following established procedures and schedules. Identifies and leads continuous improvement Initiatives, making certain that the most efficient and product orientated methods are utilized to maximize production output. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Requires a related university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Non-degreed applicants must have an additional 8 years of applicable experience.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years experience with the mechanical disassembly and assembly of aircraft armament equipment.
  • Proficiency using computers - required computer programs include MSWord, Excel, Project, and Power Point, and SAP.
  • Familiar with drawing packages, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs, and configuration management process and systems.
  • Familiar with various test equipment – both general purpose and special, program specific test stations and miscellaneous measuring devices.
  • Familiarity in reading mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to produce results according to scope of project and customer requests, often exceeding expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence through facts, data, information, and presentation of ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to build teams with diverse skill sets
  • Excellent people and customer interface skills with demonstrated record of achieving customer satisfaction
Desired Skills:
  • Familiar with the processes required to evaluate and assess aircraft armament equipment for refurbishments or upgrades as well the process required to build and test new AAE products.
  • Familiar with LAU-115/116/117/118, SUU-63/79, BRUs, etc.

Required Education:

  • Requires a related university degree of equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience. Non-degreed applicants must have an additional 8 years of applicable experience.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
